What is included in an end of tenancy clean?
An end of tenancy clean is a full deep clean of the property to the standard required to ensure no deductions are made from your deposit for cleaning. End of Tenancy cleaning only covers the internal property, external areas are not covered, though this could be arranged depending on the tasks required. Cleaning of appliances including ovens are standard, carpet cleaning, waste clearance and window cleaning can be added. Cleaning of painted walls is not usually included as its too difficult to clean them without removing the paint and causing damage, if they are heavily marked then decoration is usually recommended.
Do you guarantee I will get my full deposit back?
We guarantee that you will not get any deductions for cleaning if using us. This will require you to inform your letting agent that we offer this service before the clean. If any reasonable cleaning issues are highlighted in the checkout report that we have missed, we will return within 48 hours to rectify this, sometimes sooner if needed. Any reputable agent will accept this and not make additional charges against your deposit. Issues such as minor cob webbing, light dust or very small debris/crumbs may not be covered as its reasonable that these could occur after we finish the job.
Do I need to empty the property before you clean?
Where possible, yes. End of tenancy cleaning is most effective once personal belongings and rubbish have been removed and any maintenance work has been completed. If some furniture is staying, that’s fine – just let us know in advance so we can factor it into the quote and checklist.
Do I need to be there while you clean?
No, you don’t need to be present. Many clients give us access via key safe, or we collect and return from your agent. We’ll arrange the most convenient option when we book your appointment.
Can you clean the oven, carpets or windows as part of the service?
Professional oven cleaning is part of a standard end of tenancy clean, and carpet cleaning waste clearance and external window cleaning can be added as extra services if needed. These services usually need to be booked in advance, so please mention them when you request your quote.
How do you price end of tenancy cleans?
We are able to give you a ball park quote by asking you some questions on the property via email. If this works for you, we will then arrange a visit where we assess how long the job will take based on the condition and give you an accurate price. Many companies do not bother visiting and simply over quote to make sure they are covered, or ask for extra time on the day. We believe a site visit is essential to in order to asses the job and give you a firm quotation that means no surprises on the day.
How do I book and pay for an end of tenancy clean?
You can book by contacting us via the website form, email or phone with your preferred date, address and property details. We’ll confirm availability and send you a quote. Payment for end of tenancy cleans need to be made in advance, you will receive more information on this during the booking process.
What is your cancellation policy for end of tenancy bookings?
Cancellations made by 5pm the day before your booking are free. Cancellations after this mean the visit is charged in full, as we’ve already allocated staff time to your appointment.
