Brighton Cleaning Services began in 2012, founded by two friends with a simple goal - to deliver reliable, high-quality pub cleaning across Brighton & Hove. A few years later, one partner moved on, and Terry took the reins, expanding the company’s services and reputation while keeping the same focus on quality and reliability that built its foundation.
From those early days cleaning local pubs, Brighton Cleaning Services has grown into an established, trusted provider covering all aspects of professional cleaning. Today, we specialise in domestic and commercial cleaning, with particular expertise in Airbnb changeovers, linen rental, end of tenancy cleaning and regular contract cleaning for offices, hospitality venues, and residential properties.

Who works with us
Terry Arif
Founder & Managing Director
Terry founded Brighton Cleaning Services in 2012, starting out with late-night pub cleans and a small handful of clients. Since then he has grown the business into an established team of over 50 cleaners and support staff, looking after more than 200 homes, Airbnbs and commercial premises across Brighton & Hove.
Day to day, Terry is still very much on the front line – personally handling new enquiries, sales and marketing, and staying in close contact with regular clients. Known for being “always on”, he keeps a close eye on quality and is available to discuss anything from a one-off clean to the ongoing management of a larger portfolio.
Sara Cady
Office Administrator
Sara has been part of Brighton Cleaning Services for over five years and is a key point of contact in the office from Monday to Friday. She looks after the day-to-day admin that keeps everything running smoothly – from handling emails, Whatsapp groups and phone calls to updating bookings, passing on instructions to cleaners and keeping our job notes and instructions up to date.
With a calm, organised approach and a detailed knowledge of our clients and properties, Sara helps make sure cleans are booked correctly, messages don’t get missed and any issues are followed up quickly. If you’re a client and contact us Monday to Friday, there’s a good chance Sara will be the person assisting you.
Thalie Knights
HR & Communications Officer
Thalie has been with Brighton Cleaning Services for over two years and looks after all aspects of HR and staff welfare. She is responsible for organising interviews and job adverts, managing sickness and holidays, maintaining HR records and supporting health and safety across the company. Her work helps ensure we have the right people in the right places, with clear processes behind the scenes.
Alongside her HR role, Thalie also leads on internal and external communications. She helps create social media posts as we grow our online presence, and is responsible for sending clear, timely updates to staff – and, in time, to clients as well. Her focus on communication and consistency plays a big part in keeping our growing team aligned and informed.
Trish Barry
Accounts & Payroll Manager
Trish has worked with Brighton Cleaning Services for over three years and is the first point of contact for anything accounts-related. She handles day-to-day client account queries, prepares and runs the monthly payroll and keeps a close eye on outstanding balances to make sure payments are collected on time.
Working as an extension of our office team, Trish combines attention to detail with a friendly, approachable manner, helping clients quickly resolve any invoice questions and making sure our staff are paid accurately and on schedule.
Kelly Draper
Financial Controller
Kelly oversees the finance function for Brighton Cleaning Services and has supported the business for more than five years through her own business support company. She is responsible for our VAT returns, management accounts and wider financial reporting, providing clear monthly summaries so we can track performance and plan ahead confidently.
Alongside statutory and compliance work, Kelly advises on the bigger financial picture – from cash flow and budgeting to the impact of growth decisions – ensuring the company’s numbers are accurate, up to date and aligned with our long-term goals.
Stevie Baker
Training & Quality Supervisor
Stevie is our on-the-ground training and quality lead, responsible for making sure the work carried out in our clients’ homes and Airbnbs consistently meets the standards we promise. She trains new staff members on site, carries out regular inspections and gives practical feedback to existing cleaners to help maintain both quality of work and professional work habits. She also still rolls up her sleeves and joins the team on cleans herself, particularly within our busy Airbnb changeover service.
Stevie joined Brighton Cleaning Services four years ago as a domestic cleaner, and the consistency and attention to detail in her work quickly stood out. If you look at some of our older 5 star reviews on google, you will often see her name mentioned. Her reliability, high standards and hands-on experience made her a natural choice to step into a supervisory role, where she now plays a key part in ensuring our team delivers the same level of care and detail across every property we look after.
